Host A Book Club Meeting In 2023 With Catering From Hog Roast Parsonage Green

Hog Roast Parsonage GreenPeople across the country take place in monthly book groups, gathering together to read new books and share ideas and thoughts. A great way to improve your group meeting is by providing refreshments or catering, and Hog Roast Parsonage Green has a selection of menus that are ideal for this occasion!

This May, Hog Roast Parsonage Green was hired to cater for a book club meeting taking place in Essex. The group meets every other month to discuss their chosen book, as well as having a catch-up and selecting the next book. The book group is a great club for people across the city and has helped to create many new friendships among the members. Alongside the discussions, catering is served occasionally at the meetings as a way to enjoy a great meal as a group. Our catering manager James was hired to provide a classic hog roast for the gathering, alongside a meat-free and gluten-free option.

Hog Roast Parsonage GreenOn the day of the event, the Hog Roast Parsonage Green team arrived at the venue with plenty of time to prepare for the 7:00pm start time. We began by slow-roasting the hog on site and ensuring that it cooked evenly to perfection. Once ready, the pork was expertly carved by our chef and served in fresh bread rolls, with gluten-free rolls also on offer. For meat-free guests, we also provided BBQ pulled jackfruit, which is an incredible alternative to pulled pork. The rolls were accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling, providing a classic dish for the guests to enjoy. For the sides, we also served homemade chips and a selection of salad dishes to create a varied and nutritious evening buffet. Our menu was a great addition to the event and was an excellent way to begin the meeting.
