Whoever said that hog roasts are seasonal ……. Spitting Pig Essex have had a wonderful start to 2017. We have been very busy throughout the month of January catering for our lovely customers all over the Essex County, despite the chilly weather.
We catered for a lovely couple who were throwing a wedding party for their daughter and new son-in-law. They had a beautifully large garden near to Stisted with an amazing summer house with a fully equipped bar inside that they used as the party venue for one hundred friends and family. We were very spoilt and well looked after, they had us cooking the hog roast Stisted and preparing the salads inside one of their marquees that were heated, this was fantastic as it was a typical grey, freezing cold January weekend. We even had non-stop music and a constant supply of warm drinks.
The Menu that they chose for their guests was our most popular Menu 3, Succulent freshly cooked Hog, stuffing, garlic and herb roast new potatoes and three salad choices of homemade coleslaw, vibrant green leaf salad and tomato, mozzarella and basil salad. Accompanied with fresh bread rolls and wraps, and a selection of sauces.
The food went down a storm, from the moment the guests arrived they commented on the delicious smell of the hog roast Stisted and fresh garlic, they literally couldn’t wait for us to serve. As soon as our chef started to carve the crispy crackling straight from the hog we had a que of guests with watering mouths. The food was greatly received with many wonderful comments from returning guests who came up for 2nds and 3rds! Another successful event for SP Essex.
