Hog Roast Brantham’s latest event was a very special, very exciting party. Client Oliver go in contact with the team, wanting them to provide a delicious buffet for 15 people at his Mums surprise 60th birthday party. The team were only too happy to jump aboard this lovely idea and worked closely with Oliver to come up with a party menu that met his tastes and budget.
Catering events have changed since lockdown restrictions were lifted, but they’re still fun and safe for all involved! Cheeky chap James, the Catering Manager from the Hog Roast Brantham team, was assigned to create the buffet for this event was kitted out in full PPE and ensured that all Covid-19 safety measures were observed. He even sneaked a selfie of himself in full PPE, showing how happy he was to be at Oliver’s Mums surprise 60th birthday party!
When Catering Manager James arrived at the home venue of the party around midday he set up all the equipment on the client’s driveway. Not only did this allow him plenty of space to make all the dishes fresh on site before the serving time, but it also ensure that all social distancing measures could be observed.
The buffet that James created for Oliver and the guests was based around the Southern Slow Roast Menu. The guests were met with a table full of tasty delights such as: Louisiana Ribs, Beef Brisket and Cajun spiced roasted chicken. There were also large platters of crunchy coleslaw, corn on the cobs, a Greek salad and sweet potato and normal potato fries. There was also a large selection of gluten free bread rolls and wraps for the guests to enjoy with their meals.
Hog Roast Brantham provided reusable bamboo wooden crockery and cutlery for the guests to use at the buffet, which James later collected and took away from site to be washed and reused at further events. James also took all rubbish generated from the catering off site with him, to dispose of it responsibly.
Oliver’s Mum had a fabulous surprise party surrounded by her friends and family. It was a very happy, very loving birthday party.
