White-Water Rafting Team Building Day Finished Off With A Hog Roast

The company events Hog Roast Grays cater for come in many different guises these days, from formal indoor conferences to action-packed team building days. It was definitely the latter we were involved in most recently, when we were asked to provide one of our professional corporate buffets for a group of employees, who were quite literally being thrown in at the deep end during a nerve jangling morning of white water rafting!

Rather them than us, was our first thought when we arrived at the venue that morning in plenty of time to freshly prepare every dish on their menu ready to be served at 1pm precisely! The group of Cornwall - porkemployees were still huddling reluctantly in the cafeteria of the activity centre as we started to set up. Hog Roast Grays’s sympathetic chef tried to console them with the thought of our hearty hog roast, tangy feta skewers, warm new potatoes and rejuvenating side salads that would be waiting for them when they made it back to base camp! This seemed to cheer everyone up a bit and gave them all the courage they needed to head to the river for their health and safety lesson before taking the plunge! We wished them luck and promised them a meal fit for kings when they got back!

Several hours and one delicious, freshly prepared buffet later, our 40 bedraggled diners began to drip and squelch their way back into the cafeteria, looking distinctly more cheerful than they did when they had set off! Relieved it was all over but pleased they had done it, everyone eagerly descended on the serving table and regaled us with brave tales of their antics on the water as the sociable Hog Roast Grays team served them their well-deserved treat! Everyone loved the food and the event organisers thought it was great that we had taken everyone’s needs into account with our vegetarian options and gluten-free bread rolls. They all agreed that the food had made their ordeal worthwhile and the whole experience certainly made a change from their usual morning staff meetings!
