Hog Roast Coggeshall Catering At A Children’s Karate Club!

Surrey - potato wedgesEvery year all the kids’ karate clubs in the region go head to head to compete in a tournament, with the winning mini martial artist getting their hands on a shiny medal and the club scoring the most points overall getting their hands on the coveted trophy! With this being the 10 anniversary of the tournament’s existence, the organisers wanted to put on a special opening ceremony and provide some great food for the spectators and participants. They needed a catering company who could cook at the venue with limited space and provide fantastic food for a large crowd, so they hired Hog Roast Coggeshall of course!

We were rather excited when we arrived at the venue, as this was the first event of this nature we had catered for and we didn’t know what to expect. There is no end to the different types of events we are asked to provide food for, which is a testament to our versatility and ability to cook anywhere! Even though this was new territory for Hog Roast Coggeshall, nobody would have known it as we set up in our designated area and got straight down to business! It doesn’t matter where we are or who we are cooking for, we deliver great results every time!

As some last minute practising was taking place and the youngsters were receiving words of wisdom from their trainers, our slow-roasted pork, potato wedges, and freshly made coleslaw and side salads were ready right on cue for the opening ceremony. The spectators (mainly proud and nervous parents and siblings!) were given the opportunity to tuck into our irresistible buffet before taking their seats!

It was certainly an impressive display from every participant, with children as young as 8 throwing some serious moves that Surrey - coleslaw3wouldn’t look out of place in a high budget action film! As gripping as the spectacle was, the focussed Hog Roast Coggeshall team kept our attention on our diners, making sure the food we provided enhanced their experience! We couldn’t pick a winner, but after a tense few minutes, the experts eventually did, and a very proud mum and dad watched their 10 year old daughter Olivia get back in the ring to receive her medal of honour! With a very successful 10th anniversary tournament drawing to a close, we got busy with our second round of service to give Olivia and all of the other competitors their well-deserved feast!
