For Sarah and her family, Christmas is a huge occasion with many days of celebrations as some family members live outside of the UK and this is the one time of year that they are able to all gather together again. This means hosting lots of meals, enjoying lots of parties, and catching up on lots of chatter and memories from the year before. In preparation for the festive period, Sarah hosts an event in autumn to begin the planning process and to get some festive dates in the diary. For this planning event, she hired Hog Roast Boxted to cater, leaving all of the guests free to concentrate on the discussions. Our catering manager James was more than happy to get involved and it was decided that our classic hog-roast buffet would be ideal for the occasion.
The Hog Roast Boxted team arrived at Sarah’s family home with plenty of time to prepare for the 6:00pm mealtime. The main dish to prepare was the hog, which took around 5 hours to roast to perfection. Once ready, it was expertly carved and served with sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, crispy crackling, and fresh bread rolls. Alongside the main dish, we also provided a selection of salad options and homemade chips to create a balanced and filling evening meal. Our catering was a great addition to the event and made it much easier for the guests to focus on what they needed to achieve.
