Buying a home, especially in today’s economic climate, can be a long, stressful, and sometimes even scary process that’s full of bumps in the road, let downs and sleepless nights. But when you finally put the key in the door and step over the threshold of your new place, all of that negativity seems to just melt away, and instead, what you’re left with is excitement for the future.
Once you’ve unpacked, you might even consider inviting your friends and family round for the grand tour. After all, what better way is there to show your guests they’re always welcome at your new pad (and what you’ve done with the place!) than by hosting a housewarming party?
For new homeowners, Cameron and Lisa, who had spent the last year and a half searching for the perfect property to start a family in, a housewarming party sounded like the ideal way to unwind after all the months of stress they had to go through to get there. The last thing they wanted to do, however, was cook for over 40 people by themselves. Thanks to Hog Roast Audley End, though, they didn’t even have to lift a finger!
Right away, James, Hog Roast Audley End’s catering manager, had the couple feeling at ease, which made planning for the event a smooth and simple process, and, for the couple, this was a huge relief! With people of all ages invited to celebrate with Cameron and Lisa, the pair selected our Southern Slow Roast menu, which offers three main meat options, a veggie and/or vegan option, plus plenty of scrumptious sides that promise something for everyone.
On the day of the party, James and the Hog Roast Audley End team arrived at the couple’s lovely new home, where they promptly set up the catering equipment in the garden beneath a three-sided gazebo to protect them (and the food) from the rain. Some hours later, they presented the guests with a banquet of sticky pork ribs, 100% British beef burgers, Cajun-spiced chicken and grilled veggie skewers with side salads, mixed fries and mac and cheese.
The guests, who dined inside, loved the spread that Hog Roast Audley End prepared, and Cameron and Lisa were thoroughly impressed with the attention to detail and organisation James and the team showcased.
