This autumn, Hog Roast Mundon provided our delicious Alfresco Menu at many weddings across the country. One of these weddings was for Jack and Hannah, who hosted a beautiful outdoor ceremony followed by a cosy and rustic reception for friends and family. The reception required formal catering for 80 guests and needed a meat-free option, as well as being suiting the theme of the event. Because of these requirements, our Alfresco Menu was an ideal choice!
On the day of the reception, we began by preparing the delicious sharing platters, which are the star of this menu. The platters consist of gourmet cheese and sliced meat, along with fresh bread, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and more! This is a great starter since it provides the guests with a variety of different tastes and textures and is the perfect introduction to our catering.
Following this, we served a classic Hog Roast Mundon main course- a slow-roasted hog served with all of the trimmings! This included sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, crispy crackling, freshly cooked chips, and tasty salad dishes.
To end the menu, the guests enjoyed profiteroles and cheesecake, served with fresh cream and berries. This was a beautiful dessert that tasted and looked incredible!
