Hog Roast Elmstead were excited when they were booked to provide the catering for client Tricia’s 50th birthday party at Marks Tey parish hall. The brief for the event was simple: Tricia wanted the Hog Roast Elmstead team to serve her 60 guests a tasty buffet that would keep them energised enough that they could party the night away.
The menu client Tricia created for the buffet was fun, and the main attraction at the serving table was the Classic Hog Roast. This slow roasted pig was served with all the trimmings, such as crispy crackling, stuffing and a delicious apple sauce. However, Tricia was very keen that her vegetarian and vegan guests had plenty of tasty dish options at the buffet table. With the vegetarian and vegan alternative foods in mind, the buffet included offerings of perfectly grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers as well as plain grilled vegetable skewers. Also, to go with these tasty treats the buffet would offer gluten free rolls, so that all guests would be able to enjoy a soft bread roll. These were not the only options however; other delicacies included a platter of fresh mixed salad and homemade crunchy coleslaw.
As part of the catering package Tricia had selected and personalised with help from catering manager James at Hog Roast Elmstead, the team provided wooden bamboo crockery and cutlery for the guests to use throughout the event. These essential components for the event and the buffet itself were set up between 5pm (when the team got access to the venue) and the serving time of 8:30pm. All the dishes were made fresh on site as soon as the catering team arrived at Marks Tey parish hall, and through the hard work of the catering team they were ready to be enjoyed by the guests at 8:30pm.
The whole event was a lot of fun, and client Tricia and her guests were thrilled with the delicious food made by the team. It was a good party, enjoyed by all who attended.
