Recently, the Hog Roast Rayleigh team were hired by Sarah for a private party which she was holding in her garden at her home in Essex. The service featured a selection of canapes with were served by the team’s servers to the guests to help the guests mingle. This was followed by a traditional style buffet which was served outside.
The Hog Roast Rayleigh team’s client selected Menu Four to serve to her guests. The service began with a selection of four canapes including smoked salmon served on fresh brown bread with lemon wedges, chicken satay (with a peanut dip) and an Indian selection. On the buffet, a whole slow roasted hog, cooked evenly in one of the Hog Roast Rayleigh team’s Hog Master machines, was served as the centrepiece. The meat was carved by the team’s Catering Manager and was presented beautifully on the buffet table. In addition, to compliment the meat, apple sauce and homemade stuffing was served to the guests. Furthermore, the meat also provided soft bread rolls and wraps in wicker baskets to keep the atmosphere of the service casual. As an alternative to the meat, a vegetarian option of lightly grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers were served with pitta breads and a Tzatziki dip.
The Hog Roast Rayleigh team’s Catering Manager, Jean-Paul, led his extended team of chefs and waitresses easily through the service. The canapes and buffet was for 60 guests and the team easily made enough food for all of the guests. They served the main course on time at 2:30pm and the guests were really pleased with the buffet menu. In addition, the food was presented very professionally with the colours of the vegetable skewers adding a flare to the buffet table. The client was really pleased with the smooth service that the team delivered and was very grateful for their hard work at her event. In addition, the servers were really friendly and approached the service with a great attitude. The Hog Roast Rayleigh team maintained the high standards that the team usually uphold and were very proud of their service on the day.
