On the 13th February we catered for the very lovely Mr and Mrs Lee and their 70 guests for their 50th Wedding Anniversary at the at the Bret Vale Golf Club in Raydon.
We arrived early onsite to set up and was warmly greeted by Tony who works at the Bret Vale Golf Club, he was a great help advising us on where to set up our Spit Roast machine. Within half an hour of arriving the hog was on and turning slowly over the flames, much to the delight of passing golf club members. We lost count of the times we were asked to save them some cracking. We certainly had plenty of mouths watering! We were serving our popular Menu 3 – the star of the show was of course the hog roast with perfectly crispy crackling, floured white baps, sage and onion stuffing, homemade apple sauce, homemade coleslaw, homemade quiche, green salad and a vibrant tomato and mozzarella salad.
Once we had laid everything out the quests couldn’t wait to get stuck into the hog. We served everyone quickly and many came back for more and said it was the best hog roast Raydon they had ever tasted.
