SP Essex were booked to cater for the lovely Rachel and Scott’s wedding on Saturday the 30th July, the venue was Hullbridge Community Centre near Rawreth. We met with both Rachel and Scott at the venue a few weeks before their wedding to run through the logistics of the day as we wanted their big day to go as smoothly as possible. Rachel opted for our very popular hog roast Rawreth southern slow roast, this menu consists of low and slow roasted brisket of beef, shoulder or pork and leg of lamb, each seasoned with our homemade secret recipe. We love cooking this menu as it really is jam packed with flavour. To accompany the beautifully cooked trio of meats we serve lightly seasoned potato wedges, sour cream, jalapenos, BBQ sauce, horseradish, mint sauce and apple sauce, not to mention a fresh green leaf salad and our fabulous homemade coleslaw. (I am beginning to feel hungry just writing this blog ) the guests absolutely loved the hog roast Rawreth food on the day, we lost count of the amount of compliments we received. We know when the food is great as we start to see the same faces in the que, two or three times over.
The bride to be asked us to provide desserts also, she wanted both lemon and vanilla cheesecake for her guests, lemon cheesecake is her absolute favourite, and of course we were more than happy to oblige. We served the lemon cheesecake with a raspberry coulis and the vanilla cheesecake with a mango and passion fruit coulis. One comment on our cheesecakes “they were to die for”. The mother of the bride was so happy with us and our efforts, our staff and the food, we all received kisses and a cuddle. It was such a pleasure to cater for such a lovely occasion and family.
Another High Five to SPEssex and our amazing staff.
