Recently, Hog Roast Earls Colne had the pleasure of catering at a high school reunion for the class of 2001, which was organised and put together by Derek. After years of wondering about his old school pals and what they were up to, Derek took it upon himself to bring everyone back together for a night they wouldn’t forget. Transforming a local bowling club into a nostalgic haven, Derek spared no effort in ensuring the evening was nothing short of perfect. From hiring a DJ to spin early noughties bangers to sending out invites to every member of the year, Derek went above and beyond to create a blast from the past. And of course, no reunion would be complete without a sumptuous feast to entice the taste buds. That’s where Hog Roast Earls Colne stepped in, with our catering manager, James, leading the charge to ensure Derek’s guests were treated to an exceptional culinary experience.
On the day of the event, our team arrived early to prepare the Southern Slow Roast Menu that Derek had chosen. From BBQ pork butt to Texan 24-hour beef brisket and Louisiana sticky pork ribs, the menu offered a tasty selection of meats, each slow-cooked to perfection. Vegetarian and vegan guests were also catered for with grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs, meanwhile, sides like mac and cheese, potato salad, and mixed fries added hearty flavours to the meal.
The air was filled with laughter and excitement as old friends reunited, mingled, and indulged in Hog Roast Earls Colne’s delicious food. And for Derek, seeing everyone together again was a dream come true – a night filled with laughter, dancing, and heartfelt connections.
