Milestone Birthday Bash Celebrated With A Hog Roast

As much as she didn’t want to admit it, Clare was rapidly approaching her milestone 50th birthday, and despite stressing to her friends that she didn’t want a fuss, they had other ideas! Apparently, Clare’s two favourite things in life were blues music and roast pork, so to give the reluctant birthday girl an unforgettable 50th birthday bash, they decided to throw her a party with a live blues band taking care of the entertainment, and Hog Roast Epping taking care of the food!

With both bases covered, Clare’s mates were confident that she would have a blast and Derbyshire - pig8forgive them for going against her wishes! They were even more confident when they perused our menus and discovered the variety of incredibly great value for money, high quality food we could provide! They hadn’t realised before they contacted us that we can offer the whole shebang and they were all very impressed with our vast selection of sides. With Clare being such an avid pork fan, they obviously opted for one of our classic slow-cooked hog roasts and chose our homemade creamy coleslaw, a fresh green salad and potato wedges to go with it!

The girls were bursting with excitement when we arrived at the venue and they had all struggled to keep the surprise party a secret! They all got busy with their designated tasks to keep themselves occupied; some of the ladies got stuck into decorating the function room, whilst others were dispatched to keep Clare busy and wait for the signal to bring her to the venue! The pork had already been slowly sizzling for several hours when the band arrived and they all said the smell of the meat was making their stomachs rumble as they set up on the stage!

When the moment arrived for Clare to be let in on the secret, the Hog Roast Epping team had all the food ready and presented to our usual high standard and the blues band were ready to wow Clare with their riffs and beats! When she came into the room and the penny dropped, she looked like she was going to faint for a second, but she rapidly recovered her faculties and despite her initial attempt to keep her 50th under wraps, she made up for it by being the life and soul of the party! Clare loved her friends for going to so much effort and loved getting the opportunity to boogie to the blues, but most of all, she loved Hog Roast ’s slow-roasted pork!
