With Halloween approaching, Hog Roast Rivenhall is currently in the process of preparing for the Halloween events that we have booked. One is a family party taking place locally, with over 30 children on the guest list. Sarah is organising this event and contacted our team earlier this year to book her catering. She needed a menu that would be suitable for children, while also having something for adults and meat-free guests to enjoy. After looking through our buffets, it was decided that a classic hog roast would be ideal, with the addition of hot dogs and veggie dogs to make sure that there is something for every guest to enjoy. Along with the catering, Sarah has also prepared a costume competition, lots of party games, and a DJ for the party.
Our classic hog roast menu is one of our most popular catering choices and it is great for so many different events. To prepare this menu, we need to roast the hog for approximately 6 hours on the day of the event to ensure that it is packed full of natural juices and flavours. Once ready, the meat is expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For meat-free guests and children, this menu will also include pork and veggie sausages served in rolls, with chips and seasonal salad dishes.
