Home tired and happy after a busy hog roast in Chipping Ongar

 

June is without a doubt our favourite month of the year the month when more weddings take place than usual and of course we love June for the simple fact it is always nice and sunny. We were doing a hog roast in Chipping Ongar at the weekend and catering for a birthday a 50th birthday and catering for two hundred. We arrived at the venue and wasted no time unloading the van and getting the meat onto the machines nice fresh pig, lamb and creamy mash with peas, carrots and sweet corn were on the menu for the day followed by apple crumble and custard the recipients favourite and mine too! As the guests started to arrive for the Chipping Ongar hog roast we had a lot of interested people coming over eager to see the cooking process and a lot were saying they would love to have a hog roast in Chipping Ongar themselves. corporate menu 1We handed out cards and said they could as we hire the machines to the public and a lot of guests took our cards and seemed keep to try. Glassed were raised and the lady who’s birthday it was said a few words and thanked all her guests for coming and that was our key to begin serving, the plates did look sensational the food looked so delicious and we quickly served so as not to get cold. We then served the crumble and that went down a treat it was quite a few years since we were asked to make a crumble and it turned out really well. we cleared away when the guests had finished and were engaged in a few conversations with guests some saying that they had never ever been to a hog roasting party before and it was the first time they had ever tasted the food and were so impressed and that does happen time and time again people are always so impressed and cannot believe how nice the meat tastes and are always more than impressed with the texture of the meat too! We wished the lady a happy birthday and she thanked us and we were on our way home tired and happy that the day had went so well…
