Nothing brings the whole family together quite like a new baby does, and so, to celebrate the arrival of their new born rainbow daughter, Abigail, new parents, Kerry and Jordan had planned a ‘welcome to the world’ party so that their respective families could meet the latest addition.
After weeks of planning and preparation, the long-awaited celebration finally went ahead last Friday evening, and Hog Roast Henham impressed the group of 40 with our sublime alfresco spread (although, on this occasion, it was served indoors due to the chilly weather!). And once everyone was seated and happily chatting away about the newest member of the family, our catering manager, James, with help from the rest of the team, began serving the stunning food they had spent all afternoon working on to the guests.
The meal began with our gorgeously arranged antipasti platters, which comprises an assortment of the finest Italian deli meats and cheeses, freshly-baked artisan bread loaves, crunchy breadsticks, olives and sundried tomatoes; complete with a choice of dressings. To follow the entree, the Hog Roast Henham team then presented the group with our signature hog roast option, which combines tender and juicy slow-roasted pulled pork with sage and onion stuffing, applesauce and our famously crispy crackling; served, of course, with a selection of salad side options and crispy on piping hot home-cooked chips. The vegans and vegetarians weren’t forgotten about either, and to appease their unique taste buds, the crew had cooked up some of our mouth-watering pulled jackfruit buns, which are accompanied by tasty vegan ‘slaw and a smoky BBQ sauce.
To Round off the perfect evening, James and the team began to serve the dessert options of rich chocolate torte and light and fluffy cheesecake dressed in cream, after which they cleared away any mess, ready to be disposed of offsite; meanwhile, the proud parents looked on adoringly as their bundle of joy was passed between the equally besotted family members.
We’re pleased to say that everyone had a wonderful time at this event, and the guests were full of compliments when it came to the menu choices that Hog Roast Henham served.
