February has proven to be a very busy month we have been inundated with requests for catering and those requests have been from customers we have catered before which we think is the greatest compliment of all. Phil and Lesley contacted us at Christmas saying their son Tom was celebrating his 21st birthday and would we be able to cater for him with Hog Roast Brundon? Our reply was of course! And within a day we had the menu sorted and we were raring to go.
We didn’t have far to travel a 15-minute drive and we were there. Tom met us at the door he was very excited and said that he wouldn’t have wanted anyone but us to cater for his birthday! We were very pleased with that remark and we knew we’d do him proud. We placed a pig on the machine and scored the skin and rubbed hand fulls of rock salt into the skin to make the perfect crackling. Our chefs then began the task of peeling and chopping the mountain of potatoes to make some spicy dicey potatoes. We chopped the potatoes into cubes drizzle them in oil and sprinkle an assortments of herbs and spices on the potatoes once baked they are delicious! A huge bowl of crunchy creamy coleslaw was made and bowls of fresh crispy salads were paced on the tables. We go all out and make sure we have a large variety of food for everyone.
As tom arrived back with his guests he was just in time to witness the carving of the pig. We first removed the crackling and cut it into chunks the guests were all amazed at the taste as some had never tasted crackling before and if they had they said it was nothing on ours. The pork was so juicy and tender and cut like butter the guests were soon tucking into the Hog Roast Brundon food and coming up to us saying how much they were enjoying it and that always pleases us to hear good feed back. We are happy when the customer is happy and to date they always are!
