Turning Up the Spice With Our Wedding Catering at Hog Roast Saffron Walden!

Hog Roast Saffron WaldenAny kind of catering for any kind of event is always a great time in our books here at Hog Roast Saffron Walden, but after nearly three decades in this industry serving our signature hog roast, it is the big events that really throw us an added challenge that continue to excite us!

One such challenge made its way to Hog Roast Saffron Walden around summer of last year when we were contacted by Sandeep and his then-fiancé Reena. The couple were looking for catering for their wedding in the winter of 2025 – more than enough time for us to plan a special menu and service for them. Sandeep had come to Hog Roast Saffron Walden because he had first tried out spicy Southern Slow Roast menu at a work do when we worked a corporate hospitality event for one of his work’s partner clients. Sandeep had really taken to the spice and the aroma of our Southern Slow Roast, which takes its inspiration from the smoky and spicy dining districts of the American southern states.

It was not, however, a Southern Slow Roast that Sandeep and Reena were after with Hog Roast Saffron Walden for their wedding. Instead, they were looking for a traditional Indian menu, but with a fusion of their British roots to celebrate the years since their family took up new life here. Having enjoyed our service and seen our professionalism first-hand, Sandeep figured we could manage it. While we must admit, that was a challenge even for the vast expertise of the Hog Roast Saffron Walden team of chefs, it was one we were more than happy to tackle with full confidence that we can do right by Sandeep and Reena’s request!

The result was fantastic –  the wedding too with plenty of wonderful Indian tradition bringing a lot of colour and style to the occasion! We couldn’t have been happier with how our mixed fusion of traditional British roasts and Indian spice and curries came out!
