Recently, Hog Roast Brightlingsea was hired to provide catering for a local community centre that was planning on hosting a community evening for the local people to enjoy. The centre has been providing regular events throughout the summer to give children something to do, as well as events for adults to meet new people and take part in fun crafts and activities. As well as providing entertainment, the centre also aims to provide catering when possible so that the local people can enjoy a delicious meal together in the sunshine. After looking through our menus, it was decided that Hog Roast Brightlingsea’s classic hog roast was the ideal menu for the day, along with some added extras.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Brightlingsea team arrived at the venue with plenty of time to prepare the catering for the 1:00pm mealtime. We began by slow roasting the hog and ensuring that it was packed full of natural juices and flavours. As well as the hog, we also served succulent pork sausages and veggie sausages. The mains were served in fresh bread rolls and accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Alongside the main dishes, we also served homemade chips and seasonal salad dishes to create a varied lunch for the guests. Our menu went down a treat and had plenty for everyone to enjoy.
