Hog Roast Essex were delighted to be asked to cater for around 100 people at a private party in Rayleigh, Essex which was to be held at the client’s (Val) home. Catering for this type of event is something that Hog Roast Essex excels at alongside catering for weddings and corporate events and a selection of menus is available that will ensure that guests will always go away fulfilled and satisfied that the food that they have eaten has been high quality, delicious and with a professional service.
For all events, Hog Roast Essex always liaises closely with the client to ensure that all expectations are met (and regularly surpassed!) and that the most appropriate menu is selected. For this type of event, we have a selection of six menus and we discussed with Val, which would be most suitable. The menu selection ranges from informal, Hog in a Roll food to more formal sit-down catering and Val was clear that this would be very informal and relaxed, at home with guests mingling inside and in the garden; we agreed that Menu 1 – Slow Roasted Hog served in a Roll, would be the most suitable. Val also indicated that a vegetarian option would be needed and also wanted a salad selection, potatoes and coleslaw. There are many good caterers for this type of event but one of the things that makes Hog Roast Essex great is not only the professional service and the very high-quality food, but also the flexibility and adaptability that we have to be able to tailor our menus for the clients’ requirements.
We arrived at Val’s wonderful home and chose our spot in the garden to setup which immediately brought attention from some of Val’s friends that were already there which increased further as we started to roast the hog! Once set up and up to speed, we were ready to serve the delicious hog and the veggie sausages and veggie burgers alongside the wonderful veg and salads and the food which all went down a treat with many guests commenting how tasty the food was.
