Down to the bottom of the county for Spitting Pig Essex this month for an office party celebrating 50 years in business for a local family firm operating out of Laindon, and here’s to another 50 successful years for a great business doing real good in the local community and keeping local people in work. And they know how to treat their staff too – with plenty of tender delicious hot roast pork provided by Spitting Pig Essex, that’s how! It was a great bash and lovely to see 3 generations of the same family all in the same business and all tucking into our delectable Spitting Pig Essex signature hot pork rolls, accompanied of course with our homemade stuffing and plenty of gravy and freshly prepared apple sauce. The really nice thing was you could tell there was a lot of warmth between all the employees and a real positive connection between the family who ran the business and the people they had working for them. I like to think we’re a pretty close knit team at Spitting Pig Essex, bonding around a shared love of the finest quality roast meats and best practice in catering, and it was great to see the people of Laindon cement their bond ever tighter over a shared meal of perfectly cooked roast pork and crisp golden crackling. There’s something primal about the communal sharing of a whole roast hog carved fresh off the spit, something important about the firm friendship formed over a shared feast. And what better meal to share than one provided by Spitting Pig Essex – we hit the spot every time, with only the best rare-breed hogs from our selected butchers and only the finest Spitting Pig roasting machines to cook them on. These are fine animals; you have to do them justice by cooking them on a machine worthy of the task that you can be sure will give you the perfect result, and as Laindon knows, if you want to guarantee perfect results you come to Spitting Pig Essex. We’ve never let anyone down yet, and while I’m behind the roaster I can promise that we never will.
