What better way to start a cool clear October Sunday morning then preparing and cooking a hog roast in Shalford. The lovely aroma of slowly roasting pig, the birds where singing and the sky was clear blue. You could see for miles there was alone plane flying across the sky off to some foreign destination. The event we are catering for today is a hog roast Shalford christening for a 9 month old baby called Ben. Although it is Bens party I am not sure how much of it he will actually take on board. Luckily his mum and dad are big hog roast fans so we have been called in to provide afternoon tea for everyone when they return from the church. They are set for a great day and unusually warm for October. We have set up our gazebo at the bottom of the garden so that everyone can see the pig cooking and watch us freshly prepare the rest of the food. We have been supplied with tea and bacon sandwiches and now I think I had better get back to the job in hand.
