When it comes to wedding celebrations, nothing brings guests together quite like Hog Roast Benfleet. On the 16th of August, Our catering team had the pleasure of providing a feast to remember for Emmanuelle’s special day, hosted at a beautiful setting in Benfleet. With 40 guests in attendance, the atmosphere was intimate, relaxed, and full of joy – the perfect way to celebrate such a memorable occasion.
The couple opted for our popular Alfresco Menu, which adds a rustic, sharing element to the wedding breakfast. Guests were welcomed with stunning antipasti platters, elegantly served by our professional staff to the tables. Each platter was brimming with fine Italian flavours alongside indulgent cheeses. Paired with artisan breads, including herbed focaccia, ciabatta, and breadsticks, and complemented by extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar, this course set the tone for a truly gourmet dining experience.
The main course showcased the star of the day – a whole roasted free-range hog, carved and served with homemade sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, and our signature apple sauce. For guests with dietary preferences, we ensured nobody missed out with our freshly prepared vegetarian and vegan alternative: grilled vegetable skewers with halloumi (or without, for a fully plant-based option), accompanied by wraps,
tzatziki, and a sweet chilli sauce.
To complete the meal, guests enjoyed vibrant sides of heritage tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad, gourmet coleslaw, seasonal leaves, and golden roasted new potatoes – a true wedding feast.
