At Hog Roast Basildon, we love nothing more than helping people celebrate life’s special moments with fantastic food and that’s exactly what we did for Amy’s Garden Party in Basildon on 24th August 2025. Catering Manager Dohnis and the team were delighted to be invited to Kennedy Avenue, where family and friends gathered in Amy’s garden for an afternoon filled with laughter, great company, and of course, a mouth-watering Hog Roast.
With 28 guests in attendance, this was the perfect intimate event to showcase our famous slow-roasted hog carved fresh on site and served with golden, crunchy crackling. To make sure everyone felt included, we also provided an excellent range of vegetarian and vegan options, including Grilled Vegetable & Halloumi Skewers and our popular BBQ Pulled Jackfruit, ensuring all dietary needs were catered for. Guests were also treated to gluten-free rolls, so no one had to miss out on the flavour of our delicious fillings.
To complete the menu, we served herb-dressed new potatoes and a tempting choice of sweet potato fries and traditional fries, giving guests plenty of variety. The hog roast was further complemented by marinated chicken thighs and classic sausages, which went down a storm with everyone in attendance.
As always, presentation and service were important to us – the food was served on eco-friendly wooden bamboo crockery with matching cutlery, keeping the event stylish, practical, and environmentally conscious.
The serving began at around 3.30–4.00pm, with guests lining up to fill their plates and enjoy the feast. The relaxed garden atmosphere made for the perfect backdrop, and the hog roast was a real talking point, bringing everyone together.
