We have a bit of a saying here at Hog Roast Ashdon that once you are a part of the Hog Roast Ashdon family you are a part of it forever. Over our thirtyish years of catering we have had so many wonderful chefs, servers, warehouse and office staff walk through our doors. Every single one of them, whether they were with us for a short while or have stayed for the long haul, has contributed in some part to the overall success of Hog Roast Ashdon. Even long after one of our own has left onto newer pastures, there is always a place for them with Hog Roast Ashdon anytime. After all, they do say that pigs have excellent memories!
Proving just so, this past week the Hog Roast Ashdon joined a former server of ours who has since gone on to build his own business. That is something that we at Hog Roast Ashdon can fully get behind. When Craig was a part of the Hog Roast Ashdon serving staff it was as a post-university job to help bridge the gap from his hospitality degree into a more substantive graduate role. Craig ended up staying with us for longer than anticipated. Instead of looking for more graduate roles he stayed with us and built up his experience and finances until he felt confident enough to go and build something for himself. As a team that started in much the same way some three decades ago, we’re immensely supportive of what Craig has done.
And Craig knows that to, because as he finally put a date to the official launch of his new business he asked if his old Hog Roast Ashdon team could come and cater for his opening day. We were of course all too happy to do so. It’s a privilege to see someone you know soar in their own path, so any part we could play in helping Craig to take flight was perfect by us! It was a great reunion, and in many ways an even better goodbye than we had before!
