We have been busy hog roasting as usual this weekend. we did a very pleasant event for a group of retired friends who wanted a hog roast in Thaxted. They get together every second year and take it in turns to host the party. This year it was the turn of Derrick and Mavis Shortly and they hosted a hog roast in Thaxted for everyone in the garden of their lovely home. It was a great day the sun was shining and we had a perfect spot to set up our gazebo. It is worth remembering when thinking of having a hog roast in Thaxted or anywhere in Essex to make sure you put aside a good spot for the hog roast caterers with easy access for your guests. Derrick had reserved a perfect spot just outside the patio doors backing up to his garage and worked a treat.
There was planty of room for us and plenty of room for his friends to help themselves to the food without having to queue. All in all a perfect summers garden party and a perfect hog roast in Thaxted.
