So we have begun the countdown to Christmas, the time of year when everyone gathers together and we have a good celebration. We have been taking several enquiries and booking for now December as it’s the works party season and we have been sending our winter warmer menu out to most customers. This menu would be a perfect choice for Christmas as most people do cook turkey, but this isn’t just any type of turkey. We flame spit ours and the flavour is just mouth-watering, then dressed with cranberry sauce and red wine gravy and served with seasonal vegetables. We can even provide you with warm mulled wine and tasty mince pies.
Yesterday myself and my catering team had an event booked in Writtle; we love catering here because it’s such a beautiful village and with all the students that attend the colleges and universities were never short of cooking up a hog roast in Writtle. On Wednesday we packed up the Spitting pig van with our hog roast machine and picked up the meat early yesterday morning. The event was in a local church for the Christening of a little girl. With only 30 guests to feed, the customer decided to go for lamb which always tastes beautiful when roasted. We prepped the salads and potatoes while the lamb was cooking and sliced the Spanish quiche that we made earlier that morning. The sun shined bright all day which means we could happily serve the food outside. When the service was over the guests queued up at the serving table and helped themselves to the roast! We received positive feedback from all the guests as we were cleaning away the rubbish. Another job well done J
This weekend we have an 18th birthday booked in on Saturday evening for 150 guests, so I may need a good rest tonight as we will have to get into the party spirit tomorrow.
