Recently, the Hog Roast Southend-on-Sea team were hired by Scarlett. The event was for for a beautiful wedding which was hosted in the fantastic venue of Red Brick Barn in Rochford. The setting was a fantastic backdrop for the wedding and set out the foundations for an amazing day. The Hog Roast team catered some great food and helped to create a lively atmosphere for the couple’s big day.
The engaged couple chose wedding menu four from the selection offered by the Hog Roast Southend-on-Sea team. For the centrepiece of the stunning wedding buffet, a whole slow roasted hog was presented to the guests. The hog was cooked in a Hog Master machine to mimic the traditional method of cooking and ensure that the meat is evenly cooked. The hog meat was served with selection of bread rolls and wraps, crispy crackling, fresh apple sauce and homemade stuffing. The sides were served in hot trays to ensure that the food remained warm. In addition to the hot dishes, a selection of fresh salads were served in wooden bowls.
The Hog Roast Southend-on-Sea team’s buffet was served to eighty guests at 4 pm. As weddings have such tight schedules, it was important that all of the food was ready at the same time and met the deadline. The food was cooked by the Hog Roast Southend-on-Sea team’s Catering Manager, Jean-Paul, who did a fantastic job of leading the team through the service. He ensured that all the food was of a high standard and that it was all plated beautifully by the team members. The Hog Roast Southend-on-Sea team provided a smooth service and ensured that the cooking and serving of the food all fitted the schedule. The team were also really friendly to all of the guests and enjoyed serving the guests with a smile. The guests all appeared to really enjoy their food and were delighted with the range of mains and sides that they were served. Overall, the team were really proud of the service they delivered and the client was really pleased with the catering that they were provided with.
